Independent Certification Consultant · MASEngenharia LTDA
Based in São José dos Campos, SP — Brazil
Serving clients globally (USA, Japan, Brazil)
I am an independent aerospace consultant specialising in the development assurance and certification of airborne systems, software, and electronic hardware. My career spans Embraer (E-Jets E2), Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation (SpaceJet), electric propulsion programs in the USA, and space systems in Brazil.
Since 2021, through MASEngenharia LTDA, I deliver end-to-end consultancy — from initial certification strategy to final authority approval. In 2025, ANAC granted me credentials as an Autonomous PCP (Profissional Credenciado em Projeto), equivalent to an FAA Independent DER, authorising me to issue technical findings directly to the authority.
My work bridges complex regulatory requirements and real engineering challenges, so your team spends less time on compliance friction and more time on innovation.
Direct experience negotiating compliance agreements with FAA, EASA, ANAC, and JCAB across multiple civil aircraft programs.
Active credential to conduct technical evaluations and issue findings for aviation software, AEH, and systems development — independently.
Supporting novel electric powertrain certification efforts, navigating uncharted FAA regulatory territory for sustainable aviation.
Requirements, V&V matrices, risk registers, and processes under ECSS, ISO, and ABNT for space programs.
Tailored consultancy across the full certification lifecycle — from strategy definition to authority approval.
ConOps definition, stakeholder & system requirements capture, functional design, architecture, interface management, and SEMP development following NASA SE Handbook guidance.
Definition and review of processes, plans, standards, and development artifacts to ensure compliance with ARP4754A, ARP4761, and associated FAA advisory circulars.
Compliance guidance for airborne software and electronic hardware, including tool qualification, model-based development, and object-oriented technology supplements.
Certification strategies for innovative electric and hybrid-electric aircraft powertrains, including novel compliance approaches for disruptive propulsion systems.
As an ANAC Autonomous PCP (DER-equivalent), I can issue technical findings, conduct SOI/Stage of Involvement reviews, and support approval of technical data directly with the authority.
End-to-end systems engineering for space programs — requirements, V&V, risk registers, and process compliance under ECSS, ISO, and ABNT standards.
A career built across leading aerospace organisations, with recognised expertise by multiple civil aviation authorities.
I support organisations across the aerospace value chain — from established OEMs to disruptive startups building the aircraft of tomorrow.
